Today I did not have to do anything. So we attended a couple of seminars. Though I will write about only one. This seminar was conducted by Mahesh Murthy. And it did one great thing, My encounter with our TPO had left me feeling very low. He managed to brighten my mood. So what was he speaking about? This is my personal interpretation of what he said, and so may not match what others felt. He was speaking about following your dreams. About preserving your indivisuality. He was showing us how much we mimick others. His view was that, if we cannot do something well, we should stop trying to do it. That was not meant for us. We should try our hand at something else. He praised Mumbai a lot. Said we could do a lot of things here that can be done nowhere else. This is the place where many different types of businesses have their bases. He told not be "Just a programmer". We should follow all our varying interests together. Life does have time for many things. Its just a matter of starting and trying. He insisted on experimenting with different fields before selecting one to work. And if you get bored of one, start hunting another. You will never be happy doing one thing and thinking about another. His seminar was really inspirational. Hope the inspiration does not die out.
